I am new to the ATV community but not new to Utah. However, I have no idea where to ride. Anyone from northern Utah that can give me some places to ride?

what made you buy the atv if you dont know of anywhere to ride just curious?
Isn't the Piute (SP) Trail in centrl Utah. Its supposed to be one of the best riding spots in the world. Check w/ the department of forestry or a local Motorcycle/ ATV dealership.

I bought for several reasons. 1) my wife and I love riding just around the town we live in. 2) my kids love riding w/ me. 3) here in Utah we have a lot of snow and it is nice to be able to plow instead of shovel. 4) I want to ride some trails but everything around me is private property. I know of a few places but was just looking for other ideas from people that live in Utah.
I want to go ride in the snow, at least once!

If you can ride your atv to the supermarket for beer on a Saturday afternoon I am moving!!!

Do you just park it in a normal parking spot?
I made it to Publix 1 time but had to do 50 mph to get home before the cops got there

Oh yeah. It is awesome. I mean, don't get me wrong. The town I live in is only 700 people and 4-wheeler is a second car. Cops rarely cruise the town so it is all on. There is no supermarket, but a gas station/conveinent store, and yes you can park in the car parking...heh heh.

Amazing,

My only problem is I do Air conditioning for a living. I dont think there is a glaring need for central air in Utah.

plus anytime it is below 75 degrees i am not happy, so i would move there and never go outside

Would definatly be an awesome place to visit though

drive the atv up the hill, snowboard down the hill..

Actually deadmull, you would be surprised of how hot it gets here. Last summer we had 23 consecutive days over 100 degrees. My father-in-law is in airconditioning and 2 other people in my small community is also the in heating and air business.
But you are right, it does get cold here. It's a trade off I guess.
Where to Ride in Northern UT

If you are looking for a good place to ride in northern Utah it would depend on where you are. If you are in the Cache County area there are loads of places to go and a lot of them interconnect. For example if you start at hardware ranch you can make it to Bear Lake or over to Logan Canyon. They provided me with a map of trails when I bought my first Honda here. I would suspect that you could pick up that same map at the fish and game station on the left hand side of the road as you head up logan canyon. If you need anymore info let me know what I can do to help.
I ride a 2005 Honda Rubicon. great machine. if you want some places to ride you can give me a call. just reply to this message if u want me to call u or vise versa. there are tons of places to ride. ** I have nextel if you want to direct connect me** just reply to this message. thanx
I just came back from a business to the Orem/Provo area. I got to do some driving thru the Uinta National Forest. I drove on Rt92 thru the mountains on a 1 and 1/2 lane road. The sites are awesome there. I would love to take my Rancher out there and explore some of those mountains.
I see there is a good trail sytem to the south called Skyline Drive. Love to ride there sometime. Looks like your state is ATV friendly.
