Anti-theft

We leave our two 450ES's at our cabin. We take the keys and secure them with a steel cable locked to an "O" bolt in the floor.

Is there anything else we can do to help prevent somebody from stealing them?

Thanks.

I would also before I killed it put it in 4wd if it is and leave it in first gear being it is es they will not be able to shift it to neutral and it will make it almost impossible to push forward and harder to pull backwards so I would back it up to something also if you have a winch winch them together.
My buddy leaves his in shed at cabin. We take a wheel off each bike and hide it or bring it back home. Had breakin but they could not move the bikes with the wheel missing. He got complacent a while ago and stopped removing the wheels and relied on chains and several locks. Thieves broke in and cut thru chains in minutes with a grinder. Lost 2 bikes! Now we chain bikes, remove a wheel and have an alarm on the shed with cell phone connection.
if you like to hunt{you know what i mean}, go up in the middle of the week in differant car and wait for them to come?
i hear that! that what us ******** do over here in S.E. Texas

This is probably the best way to go. You'll always know where your machine is at, whether you have it or someone else has it that shouldn't

I thought I was the only one to take a wheel off.
A good cable and lock and take the wheel home. That is the best way to go.
Pull the sparkplug out of it.
That's what I do. Or you can take a old plug kock the end of of it And put it back in.

We used to do the same thing but bikes and sleds have been towed or loaded aboared trucks. They even took the time to empty several cans of gas into the truck and left the cans.
Now we even leave a "present". We have an unmarked gan of gas containing bleach. Supposedly the truck won't travel very far before the bleach washes down the cylinders and the engine quits.
Anyone know if this actually works?
