Too funny, after seeing the Ricochet pictures above I was thinking the opposite (the Ricochet didn't have enough).. Of course I have been known to molest a few trees on the tight trails in my area I think it all depends on the area you ride in and your riding style. Currently my factory front "skid plate" has more marks on it up high than it does down low which tells me I need the AP style... .or some tree avoidance lessons

In reality if we could combine the positives of each style we might have the perfect setup.

FYI, for those with 07-08 Foremans that are considering the AP front Plate/winch mount take note:

After working with them the past few days they now have special versions with the winch mount for the 07 and 08 including the Power Steering version. They are now on APs website.

There are 2 versions, one for the older Warn 2.5, Ramsey, and most of the Chinese Knockoffs like Xtreme, Venom, Viper etc.. The other version is for the newer Warn XT/RT series.

Well, maybe not as little as the Ricochet, but if it stopped just after the winch instead of having the hook holster thing it would look alot better.

Have we found an answer to if the AP front skid can be used with the Warn bumper?
I agree about the upper part of the AP, plus I wonder how much airflow it blocks from the lower air inlet. I may cut that section off or bend it straight back when I get mine. I will wait a little while to see if it grows on me first and/or if I notice I am running hotter than before.

Concerning the Warn bumper, from the limited pic I have seen I can't see why it wouldn't work. The lower mounting arms of the Warn bumper will go right over the upper side mounting holes of the AP skid plate. The only place you might need to trim is the same upper area we are talking about above. If you already have the Warn on yours post some pics of that area from the side as it would help to see if it will clear.

I am curious about what purpose the Warn bumper serves the Foreman? The Foreman already has a pretty good front bumper and the Warn seems to mimic the shape of the original. At first glance I only see extra weight and severe blockage of the lower air inlet for the oil cooler where the lights are on the Warn Bumper. I can see some extra center area protection, but the AP skid plate will do that anyway. The outer brush/headlight guards look to be almost the same as the original. These quick observations are why I don't understand the reason for lugging around all that extra weight. BUT, it does look pretty cool...

looks good . also like how you painted the center plastic silver.
Thanks, I like it too!

Center Plastic in silver is factory original on the Power Steering version only (except camo version).

FYI, that is how you can always spot one a mile away.

I love my AP skid plate hook holster but the Ricochet provides better protection underneath. Look at the pictures again. The AP is wide open in between the A-arms. I have the AP hook holster but put the Ricochet main skid on bottom. I did a little cutting and now they have to be welded. Best of both worlds.

I am not using the AP Bottom Plate, I use my plow mount in conjuction with a custom plate I made.

Hey GT, are your AP cv guards behind stock, inside boot, guard?
I am not completely sure what you are asking, but I think the black factory brake caliper guards are causing an optical illusion.
