Being new to this again, I just put the 26" Mudlites on type 5's on. What air pressure should I run in these?

A lot of it depends on what type of ridin' you do. If your just cruisin' the
trails, then no more than 5 psi. Deep water ridin', you want a good bit more
to get some floataition. Especially the fronts if water ridin'. I do a little of
everything, so 10 psi fits me great.
I run mine at 2.5psi
6 PSI all the way around on mine now.
I use to run less on the trails but I need more in the water/mud so I settled in the middle at 6 and it seems to be a good place for both.
Does too low of air pressure keep the tires from spinning? I went out yesterday and found some mud but it did not seem like I was spinning much but giving it lots of gas. I have the factory tires so tire size or kind is not the problem.
you will get alot more grip with low air pressure but i dont know about throwin alot with stock tires...
I have stock tires on mine and I run 7psi in the front and 5psi in the rear tires. In 2nd gear 2-wheel drive I can sling mud everywhere.
i run 29.5 with 20 psi when in the mud holes and water 8 when trail riding.
Why would you run less in the mud when less air pressure gives you more of a bite? For the added ground clearance.
I don't know but I put 10 in mine tonight and just rode it in the yard and i noticed a big differenct in handling and can't wait to try it out on the trail. They will hold way more than that why dont anyone run more air pressure?
I run about 3 psi in mine all the way around, I do about mostly trail riding, a little mud and river/creek crossings, seems to work fine for me.
I run 27" bi/tri claws and trail riding mostly, I run about 4psi, mud and water.........................20psi.
I do nothing but mudding, with the occasional water thrown in. I run mine 2-3 psi.
i was running 2-3 but i put 5 all the way around and it did awesome

Whatcha mean by better handling. Rides rougher? Turns better? What did you notice?
I don't know it just felt better. It don't seem to slide around corners. I have not rode off road yet to tell if its rougher or not. I guess it's seems more solid, not floaty????!!
stock tires have a really weak sidewall, running more pressure stiffens them up so it wont flex as much in the corners. I noticed when i put on my 589's that it handles 100% better, and thats with a mud tire.
