screwing it in will decrease the air flow, which will richen the mixture up and out will increase the air mixture, which will lean out the mixture.
I think that article is saying the opposite................screw controls fuel flow. Turning in will lean mixture, turning out willl make more rich.

Is this how everyone else views it?
THANKS for clearing that up Eric. I stand corrected.

ok so i'm having alot of backfiring issues which is why i'm asking this question.....i've read on the net that backfiring is a cause from running lean so if i richen up my mixture that should help right? now when i'm WOT and start to decelerate...thats when it really starts poppin.....should i replace the jet and go to the 175?
You can get a backfire from a lean or rich setting.
