Adjusting Jetting

I just installed an HMF Perfromance Exhaust and put in a K&M air filter The kit came with a new main jet. Can I install this considering that I'm mechanically inclined but with little knowledge of carborators? I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

Putting the jets in is not that difficult, tuning it and getting it running smoothly requires an understanding of the carbureator.
