anyone have a big gap in their swingarm (each side has about a 1/4 inch of play, side to side) frame appears to be ok but i don't know how else i could have such a gap.. ANY IDEAS THANKS ALL!!!!
There will be a gap on each, but there shouldn't be any side to side or up and down slack at all. if they will not tighten up any you may need to change them
thanks for the input AGAIN DIRTY, my swingarm moves side to side 1/4 inch each way almost like the frame is spread apart!! but there is a brace right next to the swing arm all welds look good..
You'll have to tighten the swingarm bolt on the brake side of the machine. If that doesn't work, time to replace the bearings. The inner race is a pain in the ass to replace.
The easiest way I found to get the bearing race out is to weld a bead around the inside face of the race. it will shrink it enough to let it slide out.
