A guy brought me a 98 450es
with no battery said it has not run for a LONG time. Said he parked it cause elec. shift would work ( got a ratchet and socket on manual shifter).
installed new battery turn on key and just the momentary red engine light display come on and off. Won’t crank and no neutral light. Got power to start button and kill switch and lights work. Can jump relay and get it to turn over still no neutral light and no spark. Looks like someone has been working on it before. I think I found the neutral switch wire (green w red stripe. When there is no power on I have continuity when key is on it go to open. Can’t find a good schematic, open for suggestions

i did get it started by grounding the red/green wire.
still have issues to pursue.
At least I know it runs and I have one gear!!!
