87 fourtrax350

Hey group I’m new here, I’m have a problem with my 87 fourtrax350.
So the machine runs fine but all of a sudden it just stalls like you turned the key off. Start it right back up but the second you go to shift it stalls again.
someone said the fan control module is probably bad?

I really like this machine and really want to get it running, very frustrating because I can’t go more than 200feet without pushing it home

any help would be great
