Was wondering if any of yall have much experince with the ricon i havent looled at them much but i think you can swap out a 450s motor in them. was thinking about finding a ricon with blown motor or tranny hopfuly for about 1500-2000 and then rebuild a 450 to drop in it. if not i will just convert my 450es to irs. any ideas would be nice.

giver. easyer to mod the rinny frame to fit the foremans motor then to convert a sra to irs.

keep us update with photos no matter what you do.
i figured it ould be easier to swap motors but hadnt realy had a chance to look at one. i still want to convert mine but it will have to be put on teh back burner till i found the rearend plus im going to go look at a 06 800efi tuesday popo. but what ever i do i planed to take pics and let every one see the process.
DONT BUY A POLARIS SPORTSMAN. especially an o6 model. my dad had a 500 sportsman and my brother had a 700 sportsman both 06. both spent way too much time in the shop. i know that that probably doesn't mean much since you don't know how my family takes care of stuff. My family does our maintenance religiously. we always check oil/fluids and clean air filters and grease all fittings. we always clean our bikes before they leave the trailer. both of these bikes were kept up perfectly. both had the front end replaced at least once. and many other problems out of them. dad would have put 2x the miles on his that he did had it not been for the time in the shop. Just before dad sold his, he had $2000 dollars worth of parts put in the front end alone. this was warranty work. so since the warranty was ending in December he had to get rid of it. You cannot beat the ride of a Polaris. and if you only are going to put about 300 miles on it a year no bid deal, but if you like riding them do not buy a Polaris you will not be happy with it.

That's why I ride a Honda.
before my new honda it was a 99 polaris express, lot of problems i accounted it to its age not make, but i still wonder? oh well it isnt my problem any more. i have a new rancher 420. dad went to can am and my brother went to a grizzly with power steering. so now we represent all but suzuki we will know sooner or later wich brand holds up the best.
all my buddies runpolaris and they havent said any thing bad other then sometimes on the efi's when doing a real tall wheely it can shut off becuase of the safety. i plan to replace half the drive train as i break it im going to put atleast 29.5's with a 4" lift maybe 31's wiht 6" if i have the money. im still not geting reed of the foreman.
Also the only thing I have heard and that was from a suziki lover was that you cant keep a clutch in them but thats from only one person. I have always been a Honda man but what my buddies do to theres I cant complain one of the main reasons is i want irs and more motor with out having to build one. the ones my budies have are 500, 600,700 all were baught from genes and they where all recked on the front once fixed they havent had trouble with i ride with them all the time and they've pulled me back more than a few times and there alot harder then i am. im no selling out im keeping the honda im going to take my time and fix it its in some dire need of repair. no more patching.
Well I went a bought the 800 popo and iv driven a 600 and a 700 but [email protected] the 800 my buddy says all you realy need is 500 i think now he maybe right. the sales man had me drive a 750 broke force efi and the was now contest the popo stomped it. im not trying to say polaris is the best but there [email protected] nice. im getting 29.5's soon would get 31's but dont wantto spend 1500 for a set up. When test drove it i ran 15 nailed and it walked side ways before i could back off the brute didnt only slide in turns. oh well will see how things go sealing it saturday for the river.
