Could you have water in the carb?

you may want to drop down to a 170 jet and do some chop tests with new plugs to see how it drives. tank could also be low, maybe, and when back up ramps it is put at an angle that wont let gas in?

i had the same problem...

did you reroute your hoses?

get it idling and unplug each carb vent one at a time....i found that one of mine wasn't venting and when i unplugged it the sumbitch sounded fine, when i hooked it back it stalled out and sounded shitty.

so i need to get a bigger hose...

i also went from a 170 jet down to a 165. runs like a spotted ape now.

looks as though i have the same set up as you...

It was water in my gas. Took carb off had some dirt and a dirt dobber! in my bowl, went ahead and changed to a 165 jet too. I drained my gas tank and put new gas in it it runs like a champ.
