yes. my buddy has an 06 rubby with 25" aftermarket tires. before i went to 27" tires i was quicker than him on top end and getting there. i only have a stock filter and will probably keep it that way.Wondering if a 500 Foreman (FM or FE) that is jetted with an HMF muffler and K&N air filter would be able to outrun a Rubicon that is bone stock (other than wheels/tires)???
Just curious?
he usually rides his with the electronic shifter on. that may make a difference. but that was before i got bigger tires.guess im wrong, I know I dont stand a chance against my buddies rubicon, it walks away from me.
rinconWOW.. I was way off. I guess the Rubicon is alot more powerful than I thought.. Well.. Live and learn..
there was no walking away definately quicker though. i did have a pipe and jets. we both had about same afermarket accessories. wont do it now with my 27's.I have a stock 99 foreman 450 S, my buddy has a stock 2005 Rubicon. Side by side he outruns me by about 4-5 mph (48 mph to 52 mph). I'm not sure about how much more top end you get with pipes and a jet kit, but I would think you should keep pretty close to him. I doubt you'd be able to walk away from him, but I could be wrong.
dang i could only hit 57 topps, thats downhill. 54 on straightaways was top maybe bounce 55. thats stock. slightly more with pipe, jet, skid plate, and winch. smoke 'em if ya got 'em.I have a trx500tm and on top end I can keep pace with a slightly modified 300ex but not raced a rubi yet but I top out at 61mph, and still stock except for iridium plug
