500 Foreman jetted, HMF, K&N outrun a stock Rubicon

Wondering if a 500 Foreman (FM or FE) that is jetted with an HMF muffler and K&N air filter would be able to outrun a Rubicon that is bone stock (other than wheels/tires)???

Just curious?

I could be wrong, but I think the motor size is pretty close. If you jet, pipe, and air filter a Foreman, you would get better throttle response and it would rev up quicker. I don't know about top end. Also take the weight into consideration. I think the Rubicon is a little heavier than the Foreman
Im thinking the rubicon, in automatic mode is gonna take the foreman pretty bad.

yes. my buddy has an 06 rubby with 25" aftermarket tires. before i went to 27" tires i was quicker than him on top end and getting there. i only have a stock filter and will probably keep it that way.

with the 27" tires im definately slower, but thats ok i can go where he cant.
guess im wrong, I know I dont stand a chance against my buddies rubicon, it walks away from me.

he usually rides his with the electronic shifter on. that may make a difference. but that was before i got bigger tires.

if i remember right there is like 6# difference between the bikes.
WOW.. I was way off. I guess the Rubicon is alot more powerful than I thought.. Well.. Live and learn..

rincon

i dont think it is that much more powerful than a foreman. definatly not after i jetted and put a pipe on it.
I have a 650 Rincon and the wife has 500 Foreman.. What is the actual cc of the Foreman and the actual cc of the Rubicon. Is the Rubicon a 550?
i believe it is 475 vs 499. not too much. rubicon is liquid cooled. everything else is pretty much the same, i think.
like joecamel said, the rubicon is a 499 and the foreman is a 475, not much difference. also when i race people i put my rubi in esp, it feels like it takes off faster. i think that the rubi would take it just because of the more cc's, there isnt much else different that would make a big difference. The fastest i got mine was 57 with my stockers but i ran out of room, i also didnt have as many mods as i have now.

499 vs 475...Hmmm,, Sounds like enough difference to pull away. I have heard the same thing... If you put the bike in ESP, you seem to get more umph.. Someone told me that when I am in water, to put it in ESP and it would help with the water wheelies and keeping the nose of the bike up...
I have a stock 99 foreman 450 S, my buddy has a stock 2005 Rubicon. Side by side he outruns me by about 4-5 mph (48 mph to 52 mph). I'm not sure about how much more top end you get with pipes and a jet kit, but I would think you should keep pretty close to him. I doubt you'd be able to walk away from him, but I could be wrong.

there was no walking away definately quicker though. i did have a pipe and jets. we both had about same afermarket accessories. wont do it now with my 27's.

anybody else run one side by side, foreman with a pipe?
I have a trx500tm and on top end I can keep pace with a slightly modified 300ex but not raced a rubi yet but I top out at 61mph, and still stock except for iridium plug

dang i could only hit 57 topps, thats downhill. 54 on straightaways was top maybe bounce 55. thats stock. slightly more with pipe, jet, skid plate, and winch. smoke 'em if ya got 'em.
Yea.....My 650 Rincon hit 69 with me and 71 with a friend riding it a Degroot. That was stock and brand new, Won't come close now with the mods.. Oh well, don't need top speed anyways, would rather have torque..
My foreman is a month old and completly stock. I hit 59 on strightaways. Plus I weigh 235 thats got to slow it down.
mine hits 59 and thats the rev limiter... i dont think the speedos go over 59, ive had mine on jack stands and in 5th on the rev limiter its at 59.. my brothers only goes to 59 also..
I have had mine up to 55 bone stock, and I'm a BIG guy! I would think that they would go faster even if the speedo only goes to 59.
