IMO in stock form it will not turn them, it will bog pretty bad in thick mud. laws are one of the hardest tires to turn.
what would you have to do to spin the 28s
jet kit, k&n, clutch kit, and a after market pipe should awaken the beast enough to get them to turn

In the thick stuff I would also recommend the gear reduction kit.
even with just a pipe, jet and filter it will still struggle some, but the gear reduction will be all you need with the above mods.
I can spin my very well with the mods i have listed below, and i have 28" laws but do not get them if you are not hardcore mud rider because these things were not made for any type of trail riding at all
the gear reductions run about 500 rite and do you have to split the cases to replace the trans gears or is it a gear on the clutch or something like that
Chevy his question was about spinning in thick mud, not soupy mud. There's a big difference. I could spin mine pretty good in soup, but when it came to thick mud it would bearly turn the tires over before the gears.

The case does not have to be split for the gear reduction. Just have to remove the clutch cover and clutch baskets.
