  1. Hi guys, long time since I've posted anything, I'd forgotten all my login info ? but after some advice, still got my foreman 450 but picked up a 1990 honda fourtrax 300, my question is, I've noticed the 424 kits only list for 93/00 year models? Anyone know if the earlier 300's are different? Many thanks all the way from the western isles, Scotland

The first generation of 300s , 88-92 , have a longer frame , so the 424 needs to be longer by about 2 inches , when Warn was building the 424 they offered a 1st gen version , then when Wide Open took over production of the 424 , they dropped the 1st gen 300 version , what can be done is the shaft of the second/ third gen 424 is cut , then collared and extended , there are builders on line that will do it for you , usually cost about $100+ for them to do it plus the $350 for the 424 ---- check out atvhonda.com , quite a few 300 guys over there
