29.5 OUTLAWS- QUESTIONS

1377 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  MAD MUDDER
I'M TIRED OF GETTING HIGH CENTER ALL THE TIME AND THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET MY BACK END UP ANY HIGHER IS TO PUT BIGGER TIRES ON. I DO ALOT OF DEEP WATER, MUD RIDING, AND I'M REALLY THINKING OF GETTING A SET. DOES ANYONE HAVE THESE ON THEIR BIKE?

THANKS

I'm running the 27" Swamp Lites and I'm liking em pretty well. Little to no wear after 150 miles and they pull good. There's a guy (06 Foreman) that just put 29.5's on a 06 Foreman and he said the only mod he had to do to fit them was bending the front fender support bars. Of course I had to do that to fit my 27's! Might shoot him a message and see how he likes em. I didn't go that big in an attempt to preserve my stock axles. Too many people having too many problems with tires that big on stock's!!
ABOUT THE AXLE THING, I THINK ALOT OF PEOPLE BREAK THEM IS DUE TO ABUSE. LIKE WHEN THER ARE STUCK AND THEY KEEP IN THE GAS MAKING THE FRONT AXLE HOP. THAT CAUSES THE AXLE TO BREAK. WHEN I'M STUCK, I'M STUCK. I GET OFF AND PULL/PUSH IT OUT.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE POST A PIC OF HW THEY TRIM THE FENDERS TO GIVE ME AN IDEA OF WHAT NEEDS TO BE CUT OFF

THANKS
MIKE
you dont need to "cut" anything if you dont want to. Just take a heat gun and heat it up and re bend them
what they are talking about is on the bottom corner of the flood boards and up to the first clip will need to be trimmed or bent. this is a common thing that you have to do on the newer hondas to fit tires without rubbing. with my 27" i trimmed them about a 1/4". nothing major, just needs to be done so you dont rub. i dont have any pics of mine but maby someone will, if you get the tires and mount them up you will understand.
