I had 26" Bugs on the Rincon, but you can only go so far with 26" Tires down here...Got 27" Bi/Tri now and they are not only better on the trail than the Bugs, but they will go way farther in the mud...And our mud is better than yours.

yeah well my mud is better than your mud.........
I would put some real nice shocks on that rinny with some nice radials and just ride by everyone at a high rate of speed while ya'lls is arguin about your monster truck tires being put on a porsche.not sure why anyone would want to wreck a rinny with tires bigger than 26" anyway.kind of defeats the purpose of the bike.

I'm never goin any bigger then 26".[/quote]

I take that back lol
Just to start this crap up again if I had to do it again I would run 26 outlaws or maybe 27's.I do have trouble spinning mine **** just yesterday I went out with my stockers in some nasty stuff and my tranny started to freerev from hitting the gas for to long .All I am going to say is that the rincon is not made to spin anything more then stock without the gear reduction. With the gear reduction and locker(locker changes everything)it can do 26's mabye 27's but no rincon owner will agree but thats just because they don't like to knock their rinnie. I know that my buddy has a 450 w/27 mudzilla's and I walk all over him and he has 21hp blah blah HA HA.I love my rincon and had any bike to choose from and I chose the rincon so I just blame myself.
rinny on 26s wont out mud a foreman on 29.5s i out ride grizz's on 26s while i have 28 zillas
Are you saying that a the Rincon with 28" Outlaws can out do a Foreman with 29.5" Outlaws, in the Mudhole?

I have 26" Bugs and am getting 27" laws, do you expect me to belive my Rinny won't spin either tire without gear reduction?
If you don't have a locker you can but if or when you make that thing actually 4 wheel drive it won't.I had 26 589's and I my rincon would not spin all 4 wheels w/locker so that is why the difference is so great having to spin one extra wheel for an underpowered bike is catastrophic (big word).I am not trying to put down the rincon but every rincon owner knows that the rincon needs more power!
No, no DGL here, I'd get one but it would cost me $750CND, yep you read that right. I don't need no stinkin locker anyway, it spins all 4's in a straight line and when one looses traction I just tap the front brake and away I go.

As for needing more power, I don't think it needs any more. But I'll take all the power I can get lol

BTW get a Dynatek CDI, best $350 I spent on this thing yet.
really I am wanting to buy one real bad but I am putting a lift and tires on my truck but I will take your word for it definatly my next mod thanks for the up date on the cdi box
I have to be careful now, if I crack the throttle in curve 1 the back bumper will hit the ground lol it takes 0 body english to wheelie. Not to mention that the speed limiter is removed along with the rev limiter raised 1000rpm and the reverse limiter is toast
well we went on a ride the other day and we all play in this hole and we brought a friend that has a rinny on 26 lites and 2 in lift turns them fine and i was on my foreman with 26 lites 2in lift and millions of other things but he still had ore ground clearance then me right well i went in this hole and me and crimbshaw off of highlifter forums worked it for a while and finnaly decided to back it out then my friends rancher went in there with 26 laws got to were i got and stoped then my papa on his brute with 29s and lift all that stuff just wheelied threw it and then the rinny was going in and got stuck the the begining of the hole were i ussaly just drive in and we worked it for 10 minutes atleast and it wouldnt move fo anything so i pulled him out he didnt even get in the hole and then my dad came on his foreman with 28 laws and the same mods as me every mod possible for the foremans i guess and went in wheelied to the end and worked it for about 30 seconds and got out him and my papa were the only ones that got threw everybody else got stuck i was expecting the rinny to make it if my dad did it made no since
See less See more
ya'll obviously never heard of a gear reduction kit put on of those on and you will be able to turn them 29.5's in mud and water PROBLEM SOLVED!
Here let me confuse you guys some more i let my freind ride my 95 honda 300 full time 4x4 baby on 26"mudzillas 1 1/2 lift snorkeld he falowed me every were i went sure he had to rock her a cuple of times i may of had to push a time or two but i was impressed with they old 300. its a wight thing. My rinny spins 28" fine. FLA.has the best mud catails an gators..
Mine spins my 29.5s good. Sometimes it needs alot of throttle, but it makes for a good show.

Wellllllll. How about .. all of that Humm ... Good thread all in all
Guys, I have a Foreman 5 speed and my Father has a 680 Rincon. I have 26" mudlites and he has 26" Vampires.

I would bet my life that I can outmud that thing anytime of the week. I've ridden both and the rincon's 3-speed sucks. Even in regular mud, the rincon couldn't rev out in first gear where as my foreman would bounce of the rev limiter in second. Both are stock minus tires.

Honda screwed up, in my opinion, with that tranny. Rides smooth and it nice on the trails but dont take it near mud or try to race someone.
I put 27" dirt devils on and it is a big loss in power.....great on the trails but in heavy mud got a job to turn them.
I think, for the trails, the Rincon is great. Really smooth and available at a decent price. But it's the tranny and the loss of a low range that limits it alot.

Right now, I think I'd put 29.5" on the Outlander 800 over anything. I've never seen a utility spin 50mph in thick mud before. It was a trip. I'd like to see the new Thundercat though.
I have 27" gators on my 680. I like it. It does bog a little, but no worse than my foreman 500 did.

A guy I was riding with over the weekend has a 680 with the programmer and the exhaust. He has 28" mudzillas, he would push me out of stuff that I was getting stuck in, and then play in the hole.

But I think that the 28's are as big as I would go without doing more the just bolt ons. I think that the 29.5's would be to much.
