Ok I am probably about to go with a 28"x 12 all around Outlaw tire on my 500 and i have ran 27" Zillas and 27" Executioners with no problems. My question is this am I going to have to have a Gear Reduction from Day 1. I am curious if any of you are running Outlaws without a reduction, if so how do you feel about it? My plan is to do the Gear reduction at some point, my plan is to lift it, then add Gorilla Axles, then Then Outlaws so thats about $1200 right there, and then Highlifter sells the GR for $650 which is robbery to me! Any thoughts or Opinions? And for you concerned Warranty Boys, I voided mine from Day 1! My belief is, If you gonna play, then you gotta pay!

if you run in mud over 6in deep then youre going to need that gear rediction .
get in touch rob carter and have him give you extremeranchers phone # .he builds his own gear reductions and is cheeper then highlifters .(i think $450 if you install it youreself )

Thanks Rich, Any idea on what % to go with and how big of job is it? Also how much of a decrease can I expect on my top speed? Thats why i am trying to figure out, I am trying to weigh the pros and cons and make sure this is the route i want to go

extreem makes a 15% (i think ) and a 35% (which rob has ) and he slings the mud with 29.5 laws like crazy
i have a 14% with 29.5 swampplites and wish i had the 35% made for mine (i was running 30in silverbacks but it bogged down too much )

whats the overall effect of your top end speed I mean obviously it decreases but by how much? I dont want my top speed to be 20mph

with the 28in laws and 35% GR you will read like 39-41 on the speedo but will be doing 45 realy because of the bigger tires
you have to give something up on the top end to spin them on the low end

I can live with those speeds!!

You won't see 50's any more on the top speed. But a couple weeks ago I opened mine up on the dirt road and made it to 47
