I've ridden a Honda 300 4X4 with both of these tire setups, but in 25". I liked the Bi/Tri-Claws more myself, but that's partially because I just think they look so cool. I wasn't in the sand, either, I was in the mud. Both performed very well, neither came close to getting stuck in the mud I was able to find.
i had claws on my rubicon before, i think they did good in the mud and ok on the trails. my couson has 27" vamps so they dont have the 2" of tread but i think they are about the same in the mud and on trails. the only thing, if you are in bottomless mud, they like to dig down and bottom you out.

claws, they do great. never had the 28in vamps but had 27s and the skinny ones measured about 26 with 10 psi. my claws were 27.5 with about 5psi.
My friend ordered Bi/Tri-Claws 2 weeks ago and still have not gotten them, they are back orderd. Maybe something to think about also.

did he call about them? i had a buddy who ordered a set of 108's from the honda dealership. after 2 months of them being back ordered and being told it'll be another 45 days he went else where and had them in 2 days. could be the dealer.
