I've gkt a 2010 Foreman 500 ES that all of a sudden this morning stopped engaging the 4x4. The light doesn't come on and the axle does not engage. Drive shaft turns and the mechanicals feel ans sound good kn the front axle. This bike is babied. I'm a disabled vet and pushing 60. No need for me go deep. It's never been deeper in the water than the floor boards or the rubber on the tires in the mud. But the places I go are slick. It only has 868 total miles and 194 total hours. It takes me to and from the deer stands and hog traps.
ANYWAYS....
The 4x4 has quit engaging. I did the code check and got these results...
The "N" flashed 1, 8, 3
The 4x4 light flashed 1, 5,
I checked all the connections I could and cleared the codes.
None have returned.
I got a hog trap baited and hogs coming in., Took out 2 this morning, that's when I found the problem.
I'm wondering if the sensor on the xront differential may be bad?
Any ideas qould be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I think your gear position codes relate to angle sensor. Code 5 for 4x4 would relate to the front final drive clutch.

With the light also not working and these showing up at the same time, I’d be suspecting a bad ground somewhere, or a damaged wiring harness.
