I have a 2008 Rubicon and every once in a while it stutters really bad when I try to pull out, it actually won’t move it just sits there and jerks. I can turn the key off and back on and most of the time it runs fine after that. Could it be the ecu going out? They’re not cheap and I’d hate to buy it if I don’t need it. Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I’ve owed several rubicon’s of different years and they all seemed to have a glitch in the system, when this happens look to see if your display is flashing, when you turn the key off and on you’re resetting the computer and all functions as intended, this usually only happens on start up but I have a friend that has one that will do it even when riding occasionally. All of mine have only been on initial startup and they’ll do it new from the dealer. I would replace anything if this is what you’re experiencing because likely as not it’ll still do it with a new one.
