Hello, my gear display shows "- -" and reverse and neutral light are on. i can hear it switch gears, but only r-n-1st as it is stationary, but it still doesn't show what gear it's in. when i manual switch, i get a display for a second before it actually engages into neutral slot. tried changing angle sensor, no go. checked wiring, seems alright. my next move is to replace gear position switch, but before i do i just want to see if any others have a possible solution. i have the rear swing bar off and am ready to take off stator cover.

I had a similar issue with my 2004 Rubicon. The problem was the 10 amp ignition fuse was blown. I spent hours checking every sensor and plug and that was the problem. Fuse box was under the seat.

Probably a dumb question but is there enough going on the meter to give you any codes... if so that could send you in the right direction if you haven't...

I agree on checking the fuse, I have had this happen several times in the past
Its the first thing I check now if the Neutral and Reverse Light are on at the same time
If its not the fuse then it would be the gear switch most likely
