So I had my shifter pedal fall off on me about a month ago. I had my welder neighbor try to weld it on, and I just tried to take it for a spin with the kids, but it fell off again after a few shifts. The splines on the shaft (and pedal) are shot. I’m thinking of possibly trying to weld it on again, or just picking up the necessary parts to replace both the shaft and pedal. I am a little mechanically inclined - and can follow directions - but otherwise I have no idea where to start in replacing the shaft and exactly which parts I need to get. Any help?

Thanks!

Drill a small hole through it and hammer in a spring pin or get a dremel and make some new splines if you have enough bolt on the shifter pedal to tighten it down. Welding it could heat up the oil seal and make it leak so be careful there.

Example of a spring pin.......
