Most problems on these Hondas are NOT the ECU.

Unless you're tried a known working ECU and it fixed your problem, I would do some in depth troubleshooting.

You can download the factory service manual free in PDF format at atvhonda.com, link is in the toolbar at the top of the page. It has pretty detailed troubleshooting instructions in it. If you've replaced any parts with ebay/amazon chinese garbage, first step is to remove those and replace with OEM Honda parts, even if you need to buy used. These Hondmatic machines have to have everything electrical working perfectly or they go into limp mode, and more often than not, the fault is NOT the ECU.
