All, any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a high mileage (15,000 miles) 2000 or 2001 ES which isn't shifting up/down very reliably. Matter of fact, it won't shift at all now. When you push the shift buttons either up or down, you can see the manual shift rod move just a little, but not vigorously enough to actually change the gear. I'm confident all the electrical system is at least getting the current to the motor, because it is attempting to shift, just not completing the task. I tried connecting a new battery, no joy. What would be a typical symptom of a failing shift motor? Or should I be looking at something else? Thanks in advance for any advice.
