Has anyone run their Rubicon with a 2" exhaust tip. found it on eBay and they said that it will increase airflow out of the exhaust and make it sound better.
will it increase power also.

It costs about $$40.00 + on eBay but i can probably make my own for way less.

would appreciate any info, thanks

I just took my tip off and cut the spark arrestor and baffle off leaving about a 1.5" hole and it sounds great and runs better probably because my spark arrestor was so clogged up. I dont see how exhaust was getting through it with all the caked up black crap on it. Then i went to my local muffler shop and got some pipe welded to the tip for a snorkel. I will have pics uploaded soon.
I just finished mine today, looks a bit weird. I will post pictures.
Tell me how you all think of it.
I think it sticks out too far.I did something similar to that and ended up putting it back to stock.
i think so too. i might end up cutting part of the tip to make it shorter.
thanks for your opinion on that.
i just undone the 3 screws in the tip and took it out. when i got it out i cut the spark arrestor screen and the baffle off of the tip and bolted it back on. it sounds awesome and runs better. then i got the snorkel welded directly to the tip. make sure you remove tip before you weld anything to it or you will ruin the gasket. overall i am impressed with the cheap mod. the snorkel cost me 15 bucks to make.

Nice Job!

I just found a ring thing and it was perfect for a replacement. I snapped 2 of the bolts for the stock ones so i just hammered the bolts out. What comes out is a round thing with threads for the bolts. I then put threads on the holes in the muffler and then put new puts from the inside out and bolted it on from there. Then i found a piece of metal and lathed it so it would fit really tight into the ring and thats where i mount to $10.00 tip from Canadian Tire.

Quite simple I'd say. Should've thought about making a exhaust snorkel... but it would'nt be useful to me.
