What other modifications do you have done to it? Pipe, K&N filter? Also your main jet right now with just a snorkel should be a 134 or so. I think thats the biggest jet that comes with the 450 kit. Thats what i have in mine but i also have a HMF muffler and i think i still need to bump it up on the main.
running an hmf muffler with a snorkel, had a flang and 2' muffler pipe welded, it was so loud i could not use it so i capped the end and put steel wool in it, wondering your opinion on that, is it good for the motor. Back to the jet where can i get a larger main jet? some other discussions have said they run anywhere from a 156 to a 170. If i get on the throttle and have it chocked it runs perfect all the power i could want but that is ghetto want it to run like it is supposed to, other modifications 27 589, 1 1/2" wheel spacers, have a [email protected] filter but running the stock. If you were running stock muffler snorkeled and a breather snorkel would you leave the 138 main in it and run the [email protected] filter, thanks
On my 450, with a with a 2in snorkel, that necked down to a 1.5, K&N, HMF, I used the 142 Jet, and it seemed to be a perfect setup.

You are definately running lean, and lean conditions can be very harmful to your engine. Try the 142 like Robb said. Your dealer SHOULD stock jets but it may not be the case, check local motorcyce shops too. Otherwise you can get a single jet or the jet kit from Dynojet.
installed the 142 jet and she runs perfect, thanks
