hi all just replaced my cdi and ignition coil on my foreman and it doesnt have spark, everything cranks and all lights work but no spark, ive tested all other components and everything seems in spec. I did notice that when im in neutral the green light is nice and bright and when i shift out of neutral the light stays on but dims out...maybe this is the cause of my no spark? what would cause that?

Just for future reference ...


I found the neutral switch was stuck on my '87 TRX350D, the light would not come on in neutral, and this stops the system from triggering spark.


Soaking the switch and actuating the ball at the bottom of the switch to drain and clean it seems to have cured the problem. The wires for the switch can be spliced together for a bypass, but it will start in gear.


The crankcase had filled with gas, and I assume some grit made it's way to the switch.
