You can put on a pre-cleaner like on some tractors if your concerned about excessive dust.

I have seen people put screen material held in place w/ a black zip-tie over the opening of the snorkel to prevent mud from flying in as easly. just remember that to much of somthing like that will restrict air flow.

go to wally world and buy some black pantyhose and use a rubberband to secure it. it works great and is cheap.
