Mine is mounted on the front rack, I used the HL kit with the HL radiator. It solved all my overheating problems. I also run engine ice for my coolant it helps alot.

My fan is hard wired to a switch. I just watch my temp gauge and turn the fan on as needed. HL makes a universal kit that has a rack mount with it. The kit also gives you some plastic hose couplings (they are trash, just buy longer hose) and the triple flow radiator. I don't have any pictures of my bike with the radiator mounted on the rack. The only down side to the kit is that you have to fab up a mount for the oil cooler. I just used some flat stock steel.
