I am new to the Rincon's, but have had 7 other hondas in the last 8 yrs.

My question is what kind of mods can you do to the radiator for the over heating problem.

I know I can relocate it to the rack, but that is not what I want to do.

Any other suggestions?

it shouldn't be over heatin if it is new but your not exposed to pressure wash it cause it bends the vent's and check and see if you have coolant but other than that i don't no

The bike is not overheating, i was just wondering if their were any easy mods, to make it easier to clean the radiator.

Remove the front screen before each wash, and wash it several times with grease lightning using pump sprayer...But once it gets caked you need to remove the oil cooler to get it clean(cap the oil lines and remove before each oil change typically)...When it gets really bad, you have remove the oil cooler and radiator(good thing you can remove it without taking either the front rack off or the front plastic)...Add 1/2" spacer between the radiator and oil cooler, helps a little but not much...You could always mount it to your front rack, wish HL had a kit or something.

Mine is mounted on the front rack, I used the HL kit with the HL radiator. It solved all my overheating problems. I also run engine ice for my coolant it helps alot.

I was told to remove the radiator before using the coil cleaner because the the coil cleaner would ruin the rubber and plastic, based on what you know is this correct Screg?

I think that I am going to try to space the oil cooler and rad. apart from each other. I do not want to mount the rad on the rack unless I have to.

I just started using it and so far I have had no problems. I do about a 50/50 mix of it and water in a spray bottle and just spray the radiator. Let it sit for about 5 min hose out and looks like new.

Thanks Screg, might try a small amount of the Alkaline (Not the Acid) and see what happens.

I do run some Red Line water wetter in the radiator but typically the stock Rincon (without the HMF) runs cool, didn't need to start pulling the oil cooler untill a 1000 miles, and didn't have to pull the radiator out and throughly clean it until 3000 miles (just did it so I should be good for another year until we hit the dry season again).

I saw the HL kit for the Kawi which includes a new radiator, but haven't seen anybody using it on the Rincon...Did you leave the stock radiator and oil cooler installed and just extend the stock hoses?...Does the new HL fan and the stock fan run off the same circuit at the same time Black Rinny?

My fan is hard wired to a switch. I just watch my temp gauge and turn the fan on as needed. HL makes a universal kit that has a rack mount with it. The kit also gives you some plastic hose couplings (they are trash, just buy longer hose) and the triple flow radiator. I don't have any pictures of my bike with the radiator mounted on the rack. The only down side to the kit is that you have to fab up a mount for the oil cooler. I just used some flat stock steel.
