Have a line on an '02 450ES... . 112hrs and 800 miles on it. Described as "babied" and in "mint condition." Has Warn 2.5, original tires and rims, and brand new set of ITP c-series type 5 with 26" Mudlites- 10's up front, 12 in back. I have seen pictures only. Asking price is $6000CAD, and he wants another $800CAD for the 5's and 'lites. Never had an ES, don't know anything about that year. But, low usage and looks very good. Worth driving 300 miles round trip to go look????? Any thoughts?

What's that in American dollars? That seems pretty high to me!
HOLY COW..... as of today 12/11 Thats $5,917.93 USD for that. Brand new is cheaper. I would wait, a cheaper one will come around, or just get a new one for that price.
Yes- it is definitely steep money-wise. Without the tires/wheels it will be more in line, but Foremans (pretty much any Honda) hold their value to a silly degree up here.
sorry for the disagreement but this seems to be a great price too me.
if you really want a honda foreman this is a good deal in canadian bucks
Yellow Foreman- I think that prices on used Foremans down in the 'States are different than up here. I have yet to see a premium-condition Foreman of any year not bring top dollar up here so I think its not that bad either.

It may be $500 or so higher than some comparable ones I've seen, but for 112hrs??? 450's never have so little time on them.
Canadian blue book lists "clean" 2002 TRX450FE at $4150 CDN.. If it comes with a winch that would raise the price some ..
Well THAT is interesting... . Is that talking resale price? If so he's even higher than I thought... . Only 450ES's I have seen the mid $4000's have been VERY used... . Maybe better let him sit on it a while.
GO ON Ebay !!!! you can see for your self , that is way overpriced in any country.
The selling book lists 2002 TRX450FE at $5200 CDN for clean ..
Hondas hold there value in canada. I picked up my 2000 450 es new and i found out i basicially stole it from the dealer at $8700CAD.So they are alot more expensive in canada. My friend purchased a 2005 500 rubicon canadian trial edition and his total was around $12,000.00CAD. What's the price range in the states? For a new 450
My 2006 Foreman 500 was $5795.00 out the door. I live in Michigan.

That seems a little high for an 02. Even in good shape. $4000 - 5000 sounds more like it. The O2 doesn't have the trax lock to shift the front wheels to nuetral like the later models have. I have an 04 ES and I have never had a problem with the ES.
I think there must be different trade agreements with honda , cause everything seems to be cheaper in the U.S. parts are more than double up here and thats doing the conversion with the money. Really sucks to be in canada sometimes.

That's a big difference in price. I have notice the price jump in the last 5 years. Just google auto trader.ca look under atv's just to see canadian prices.
