Automotive fuel system Vehicle Hood Motor vehicle Car

I bought a 2001 TRX500 Rubicon a few weeks back and it was in rough shape. No air box literally just the carb and no filter whatsoever. Brakes didn't work. I fixed the front brakes and changed all the fluids. I had to use q-tips to get the master cylinder clean it had like little sand beads accumulated around the sides. The reason I bought this 4 wheeler is because it was a great price almost a steal. The engine starts up no problem idles nice runs/shifts with no issues doesn't burn oil. But I don't like the thought of running any engine without an air filter. So I got a filter box off ebay along with the metal filter and a foam filter. I installed everything but the snorkel resonator and now I am experiencing bogging down? or running rough at a cruising speed. It's like half throttle and it just kinda chugs along not wanting to go. But it will idle fine and even at full throttle it runs great. My only thought is it's not getting enough air now? Also, I included pictures of the top of the carb. There are a bunch of loose hoses. The service manual doesn't mention what they are or where they go.

Hey guys thanks for your help. So somebody ripped the choke out. It's not on the center console. I'm in mid Michigan and even in the middle of winter this thing started and ran like a charm. I thought it had an automatic choke. It looks like hose #1 was jammed into the carb. I gotta get some better pics when I'm sober. I've been working 10 hour days 6 days a week for months any maybe I'm just not seeing these lines straight. I did have a 2001 foreman 450s that had a carb slide on the handlebar but I never used that either. I think maybe the choke is just for extreme cold conditions.

It’s 35 here and I had to use my choke tonight to get mine started tonight. If your carb is that dirty and was run with out a box or filter I would pull it and clean it out
. Honestly, I'd just by a new one probably. But I put some 110 octane non ethanol fuel in and took it for a 20 minute drive and it self corrected. But even last winter in negative temps it started no problem.i

The grey line is the wire for the tps. If you’re asking about the black hose it’s the vent line that plugs into the left side of the carb and raps around the back of the carb and goes through the loop on the left front of the top of the carb

Sorry, I should have been a little more detailed. Can anybody explain what the numbered hoses are? I bought this atv without an airbox and it ran perfect. When I put a new airbox/filter/snorkel it started bogging down around half throttle (still runs just really rough) maybe 7-12mph but if I go full throttle is blasts off no problem. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the carb settings or a hose issue. Either way I ordered a new carb but I still don't know where the hoses go.
