4wd not working and speedometer

I think I have an electrical problem. The bike will work fine when driving then the speedometer shows 0 or 1 km. Then when u shift it starts flashing.

Also my 4 wheel drive will not work, on the cluster it shows up green like it’s activated however the front wheels won’t engage. The bike also doesn’t make its normal sound when hitting the 4w/2w shifter. I assume all my problems are from one common source

Already changed the angle sensor

2003 Honda Forman es 450

Any ideas?

Count the flashes on both the gear indicator and the 4x4 light. One of the speed sensors or wiring is most likely messing up. Both are on the front diff if you want to check the connectors.

Hey, did the troubleshoot no luck finding the issue. The shifting has been working fine, and the 4wd won’t flash the light is on like normal however the front wheels won’t engage (I had it on blocks).

I took it for a drive to try to try to get the gears to flash but no luck it worked great other then no 4wd. The speedometer was acting up for. Sec and that was about it.

The manual now states to change the FCC [4 wheel drive ecu) however its 300 CAN and I don’t know if that will fix it. Would the fcc be effecting the speedometer as well?

Another update.

Took it out again. Got the gearshift to flash it is flashing 12 to 14 times. Another thing I figured out about the speedometer when I have it selected into wheel drive the speedometer was messing up and is soon as the greenlight for four-wheel-drive would come on when I would switch it at a stop Then When I was driving and Speedometer would be working great and I would switch it back to 2 Wheel Dr. it would start messing up again

ANY IDEAS LOL
