newbie from Ky

had my rubicon a few years , it’s been a good one . Thanks for adding me but i need your help . i was going to change oil and as i loosened the 3 bolts on oil filter it jumped out due to spring and now i don’t know which side of the filter faces inside towards motor or where spring goes whether on inside toward motor or outside toward oil filter cover . gram P7007 was part # and it’s. 14-15 honda foreman rubicon TRX500FA w/ power steering . help me if ya can

Welcome to the forum. The rubber part of the filter goes to the inside of the motor, then the spring and filter are put on to hold the filter in place. One of Honda's worse filter designs.


If anyone else that might read this for the same thing the footshift Rubicon is different, this is for the automatic. I don't want anyone ruining their motor because of it.
