Siphoning gas

I have a 2017. I was trying to drain the gas out of it with my shaker siphon. The problem is, there is a plastic bar in the way in the gas tank. How do you remove that?

Don't think you can.

Take the fuel line off the bottom of the petcock where it goes to the fuel pump and drain it in a bucket.

I think they are press fot into the top, and won't come out, not sure how to drain the tank as there is no bottom drain, I'll take my cover off after and have a closer look, but you might have to just use the fuel pump to drain the tank, or you will have to open the top up by removing the fuel pump from the tank and drain it there.

There's a line coming off the bottom of the tank going to the fuel pump. Pull that line off and the tank will drain.

Yep, they have an in tank fuel pump on the newer ones. I just remove the fuel pump when emptying the tank.

My best guess, to help with these new gas cans that we are forced to use. You can push the end of the nozzle against it and fill the tank "safely". @#$%en politicians that never use a product change it to "protect" us.

Not sure if its harder or easier, once the plastics are off all the fuel system is on top and easily accessible, there is no more reaching inside the frame to get at the fuel system, even the throttle body is right on top under the seat, took a bit of getting used to the idea of not turning the fuel off when trailering the quad around as there is no fuel shut off (petcock), I like the set up myself, but I haven't really had to work on my quad yet....

Don't think I'll ever have a bad fuel problem when a tank of fuel only lasts me 2 days....lol
