2002 Foreman advice

Ok, so i have 2011 Rubicon and 2012 Foremen, and this old Harley iron head mechanic is learning metric pretty quick...
But I don't know squat about an early year Foreman.

I found a 2002 Foreman with 300-ish hours on it that is in great shape..
joints are tight, starts, runs, does everything fine, no apparent problem with the 4wd, new-ish Mud lites, very nice plastic, can't get it to smoke ( cold, hot, or run hard to idle) and could be had for less than $2k.
But needs brakes...
Is an overhaul any more challenging than Chevy or Ford drum brakes?
Decent buy? Anything I should look at extra closely??

2012 Foreman (2) es, power steering
2011 Rubicon (1)Power steering
2009 Rubicon (1)Power steering, 27" Kenda BearClaw HTRs
Others Stock wheels and tires

Warn xt2500 winch (1) w/Warn mounts
Warn 54" snow plow, w/Warn Provantage mounts

Many different silencers for stock exhaust add on or replacement under $50 (why pay $150 for silent rider?)

1963 Sportster, '55 K Frame.
Metal work, good wrench, engineer.

If everything checks out and is that nice, it's a 3k machine with the brakes fixed. It shouldn't be hard be hard at all to get them working.

as for the back .......if it spent any time in the water thay can get stuck pretty good

Brakes are easy to fix. If your buying anything other then new shoes buy the disc brake upgrade kit above. Great upgrade!
