Dielectric grease should be added to all the connection plugs even though they have rubber seals if it's an older atv. Don't let water get any higher than halfway up the tank because the breather hoses end there unless you have it snorkeled. Water riding is really tough on an atv, going through wheels deep isn't too bad if it's periodically and not in the water long. That's my take however wrong it may be.
