Won’t run past idle or under load when warmed up

About 2 weeks ago my 98 foreman started to act up. When it warms up enough that the Oil filter cover is warm to touch it will start firing out out past idle as if it were starved for fuel or missing spark. I cleaned the aftermarket carb, didn’t help. I rebuilt the stock carb, didn’t help. I did run both carbs off a funnel to bipass any tank/ petcock issues. I replaced the Cdi, spark plug, coil and rectifier. All electrical connections were checked and were fine. It will run perfect for about 5 mins then after that the issue starts. If you let it sit it will run fine again briefly. It will start but will not rev up or run under load. Running out of ideas here. The only thing I haven’t changed was the Pulse generator, if anyone has had one fail does it resemble these symptoms

Cdi box is aftermarket, OEM and aftermarket have same symptoms. I don’t have a compression tester but it feels good and doesn’t smoke or burn oil. After starting it up you can ride it with zero issues until it’s up to operating temperature, then it starts acting up as stated

well, I BOUGHT a new aftermarket CDI(actually dealer installed) and it failed in a few hours of use?
and many others have had issues with aftermarket electronic's more than NOT, just like JUNK cheap O china carbs, some get lucky, many DON"T!

SO> take info that as you wish!

new doesn't always mean good!

if you have GOOD fuel, fuel flow, GOOD carb, good spark,, and its dying out on you when it gets HOT, does the oil temp sensor work?
have you tested it, maybe the on dash light bulb is burnt out, and just not indicating its throwing the oil temp switch which is shutting things down

if its NOT the oil temp switch, and again you have all the above, compression issue's could be your problem, these are NOT new atv;'s so, odds are they seen a lot of use and wear and tear!

I am already guessing its NOT your fuel cap venting issue(which can happen when a motor gets hot and the vent isn;t working correctly) since you said you used a different source tank to run and still had same issue
but if not, I would check cap and make sure its venting properly!

It’s not getting that hot before it starts acting up, more like warm. I have both a Honda Cdi and aftermarket so I’m 95% sure that’s not it. I however didn’t check the oil temp switch. From my understanding if that is defective it won’t turn on, will it put the quad in limp mode if it is defective? Also has anyone had to replace the pulse generator( coil pack) near the stator

I have replaced 3-4 oil temp sensors on my 400 foreman, all due to erratic oil light flashing issue's and NOT working properly, atv still ran, just didn;t run correctly!
so, when they go bad, it does NOT cause atv to NOT run, they can still run, just not correctly!

Valve clearances? Apologies if this has already been mentioned.

Valves are in check, think I’m going to get a pulse generator(pick up coil) and give it a try. Probably just replace the stator while I’m in there
