Speedometer/Odometer/ Hourmeter not working

Good day everyone,
My 1997 Foreman with 9000 kms and 1730 hrs is in great shape for the year and recently the speedo, odometer AND hour meter stopped working. I immediately figured it was the sensor, i popped the sensor out and spun it with a drill to see if it registered on the speedo, with ignition on, it didn't.
I heard the sensore is a common problem but, when its the sensor, doesn't the hour meter still work? I hope its not the speddo assembly.
I opened up the assembly and all wires and contacts look good.

So, its either the sensore or assembly. The fact the lights in the assembly still work tells me its not a bad ground.

Anyone have any insite?

Best,

TN

would a bad speedo sensor also efect hour meter?
What would cause speedo, odometer and hour meter stop working?

Welcome to the board. I'm not familiar with the older mechanical style speedometers.

I know on the newer models merely leaving the key on will make the hour meter run, even though the engine isn't running.

Hang around. Someone here ought to be able to help you.
