Alright I have got a few videos of the Foreman Running the Outlaws, I hophttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ye8Fubv53w&feature=youtu.bee to get some videos from the side angle and get some better shots. Just for the record I know everyone's definition of mud is different, having said that I was raised on a bottom land farm(where these videos were shot) its grey/yellow gumbo and there are a couple holes that I refer to as quicksand holes or Peanut Butter. I have seen some of these holes swallow trucks and tractors 80% of the ruts I am going are the creation of a 4430 John Deere, so I am not saying these are the worst of the worst by any means however most of these required 4wd with my executioners and the laws make it look like childs play! and there is one vid where the foreman was carrying the front end coming out of the hole.

Hey, guys, I read around a little bit, but I wanted to start my own thread and tell u all I know about it. I've got a deal on an '01 rubi, 27" Mudlites with nice rims and a winch, the pictures are very nice, he was asking $1000, but he said he let it set up in the winter, went out the to crank it up after winter, wouldn't shift out of first, he said it will go in reverse and neutral, needs a battery, carb cleaned a little, but will crank on pull start, no brakes. he said when it did run, he would get it reved up high in top of a gear and it would smoke a little, which a simple top end rebuild should fix that, do y'all have any idea where I should start when I get it?? I figured the battery first, being it has esp also, I don't know much about the rubis, but I do the regular foreman and ranchers. I don't really need the 4wheeler, I just wanted the tires for my rancher, but for that price I think its worth getting, I have a brand new brute force 750 to with 30" monster, so it's not like I really need another one, lol but I could maybe make some money off it or keep it if it is as nice as it looks in the pic, but I'd hate to sale my rancher 350 cause it is in the best shape I've ever seen, lol, I would appreciate any advice or tips of where to start, I'm gonna get it fri morning. Thanks guys!!

Just want to start and say awesome site been reading through a lot of threads with helpful info.

I just recently bought an 02 450 foreman that is stuck in first gear I think and I cant get it to start. The battery was dead so I put the charger on and still nothing wont even attempt to crank. tried pull starting and it wont fire. The neutral light is on but the 1st gear symbol flashes 3 times which from what understand has something to do with angle sensor however the manual shift is locked up. So I pulled the shift motor out for inspection and the manual shift lever freed up but still cant get the bike to start. I pulled the outer shroud off the sift motor and found the magnet crushed. I can hear clicking when I use the manual shift but its not like any thing is going on. Any help would be great.

Thanks Sam

OK, I have a problem I think
a few months ago, I started to notice some slop in the stering, as if parked and I tugged on the bars up or sisde to side there was some slop
I check the nuts and bolts holding it all together, and all wasn't tight, so snugged it all up
Seemed better, not all better but helped
OK today at the farm, I was riding about 7 mph, and while looking behind me, I Was towing a spreader , drove into a rock, about the size of a bowling ball or likes
it was a just plowed over fields, was dfropping some fertlizer for a food plot
it kinda hit the side wall of the tire more or less, didn't run it over, and didn't really jar me, as again spft ground and going pretty slow
But after that, I am now going straight, but the bars are turned to about 1 o clock or slightly past
meaning if I put bars straight, I will turn left pretty good

what am in for??
I again didn't bend anything just the tire contacted the rock, and everything under th front ends looks good, its like it jumped a few teeth os a spline or??
any in put is welcome, and thanks

I'm looking for a 4x4 utility quad.

After beating the snot out of my wife's 2012 Recon ES I am really wanting a 4x4 honda quad, not wanting to spend a ton of cash. Yeah I'd love to have a scrambler 850HO LE or a can am 1000. But 10k+ on a quad is silly. Sorry. Had a hard enough time justifiying the RZR, which will probably be sold as well, since no one wants to ride with me anymore, as everyone has their quads.

My Scrambler 500 4x4 will be going down the road tonight, sold it to a local fella for 1,500 dollars. Quad has been with me for nearly 13 years, but its time for it go. Been a good bike, countless miles and hours, still on the factory belt, and tires. Even though the tires are pretty lean these days.

Basically looking through Honda's website I came across that I like the 420 Rancher 4x4 with the ES. I hated ES at first, but it has grown on me. I know they are not speed machines, or huge power houses, but I am fine with that.

How do they go in stock form? What are the draw backs?

Obviously its a Honda and you can beat the snot out of it and it will come back for more.

Will be replacing the rings in sons 350 rancher soon, it is beginning to smoke a little. I have looked in the service manual at the procedure to do so and my question is, when staggering the ring gaps, where is the stagger measured from? Is it the center line of the piston? Also, what do you use to measure the 120 deg it calls for on the top two rings and what it calls for on the oil rings. When the piston is removed will the old rings still be staggered correctly letting me just pencil mark the stagger on the piston for the new ones? Also, I live in a small town that has one so called "Dealer" they can measure the bore but if needed they aren't equipped to bore it bigger, and no one in this town is set up to do it, what would be my options if I need to go bigger? Hope this makes sense....Thanks.

I've been reading a lot lately about folks running 29-1/2 or bigger tires on their stock 2012 Foremans with no problems, then talking smack about how the folks on this forum said it couldn't be done!!!

Well if this Forum was a Mafia, Rich, Robert Carter, Green Demon, along with a handful of others would be the "Dons" there is no telling how many countless dollars that have been saved by the founding fathers of this site willing to share their knowledge. So you rookies need to back up and show some respect! These guys would rather give advise that error on the side of caution, rather than tell you something that would ruin your new rig!!!! Everyone rides different and expects different performance from their rig!!

Having said that today I did mount a brand new set of 29-1/2" Outlaws on my 12 Foreman, and since I leave my ego at the truck. Honestly I thought it performed beyond what I expected, but when I bailed off in the "peanut butter" stuff it was 1st gear for the most part. It kept on pulling but I can see where a GR would pay off. I don't plan to do one anytime soon, but I will certainly have to be more aware of gear selection to avoid causing damage! But I wouldn't have been prepared to be alert engine lag if it were not for the knowledge I've gained from you awesome guys!

Alright forget all this other crap now OUTLAWS are bad to the bone! I've got some GoPro footage to be added by the end of the week!

Thanks guys you guys have bailed me out of more than a couple of jams!!!
