I have seen this on a yami kodiak before. If I remember correctly, the float in the carb was stuck(or the gas tank vent line was clogged....dont remember.) causing gas to fill the airbox and then flow through the crankcase vent line and into the oil during storage. This raised the oil level which would cause the oil/gas mixture to blow back into the airbox.
