I'd say carb cleaning too but it seems strange that the brand new honda carb would do it also.
I'm still not 100% sure what we are talking about. Is the hose you blow in only connected on one end to the carb and the other end dangling? If so it's a vent. If not what is the other end connected to before you pull it off to blow in it? Just trying to understand which line you're talking about.
Maybe you could just extend the line and wear it on your shoulder like a camel back straw, then just blow in it on the fly when she starts to sputter.
