Someimes when the bearings go south enough they eat up the Bearing stop and thats what got me.
Ya see, When I first bought my bike I was messing around with the rear brakes and noticed that my rear left tire had some srious play to it and decided to tighten up the hub nut.
Well in order to get wobble to go away I had to tighten it so much that it way past the holes in the axle where you put the cotter pin in.
A few weeks later I bought the Allballs racing bearings and while I was tearing into into my Ruby I remembered that while doing the same procedure on an old 85 250 sx 3 wheelerand that there was bearing stops that were in pieces because the PO had let them go!( and thats how I ended up with it ) and realized that my left side was totally missing it.
So Yeah, You are probably missing the bearing stop.
