Rich I have been reading a lot of your posts and appreciate all of the information you put on this forum it is very helpful. I just purchased a 2013 foreman and love it so far. Do you happen to have access to a service manual for this model or know where I could get one?

    Thanks

thanks for the help but I don't think my bike has that control unit.
Can you tell me what year it is... the VIN is very faded (more on the left than the right) but from what i can see its
Q?8TE268474037984 ...Yes i think i see a 'question mark' in the VIN lol.
any help is great, i was told its 2001 but im not 100% sure the last digit is definatly a '4' though
    Thanks

Just a few facts concerning the trx350fe06: Battery good, starter good, solenoid good. When the unit is not acting up the headlight works but when it won't turn over by the start button the headlamp doesn't work.
The keyed ignition switch might be bad but I was wondering if the starter & headlights go through the electronic controls?

ok have a plan of action now the 400 frame is indeed an roughly and inch /1.5 cm shorter, than the 450 frame this is a critical issue when mounting the 450 engine.also the the shaft coming out of the 450 engine i have is 1.5 longer than the old 400n engine.
To change final gear is to messy so plan now is to modify the drive shaft by taking the difference out by cutting it out of the shaft and putting a pipe over the join and welding it.
    up again.
I will also probably use rear and front diffs from the 450 on the 400 frame.
there is only a year between models.not sure why the 450 I have has the longer output shaft but maybe it was modified for the rescue services with a engine or a different final drive.who knows but will let you know the progress R

    Hi Rich450es
Hi as you might know I am in the middle of a 450- 400 engine swap.
Looking at all forums/posts,this should be relatively straight fwd.
I have all the bits from a 98 trx450s.main issue seems to be the rear output shaft is longer on the 450 engine,on measuring the swing a and drives they are the same lengths.on everything so what am I missing the ouput shaft is about 1,1/2 inches longer on the 450 so do I change shafts?
Hope you can help many thks roryj

Didn't Super Atv have power steering kits for Foremans for $625 a while back? They are $739 now. I was wanting to get one in about a month but I don't know since the price went up.

    Rich,
I'm having some aspiration issues with the rebuild (see the last entry by me on my 450 rebuild thread) that I could use your advice on. Seems like too much air ??

I can't tell by the picture if it has any way to mount it to the handlebars. Every time I click the picture it won't load but a small part of the picture. Do you have any tail light assembly and the steps that you put your feet on? thanks
