Honda has just unveiled an innovative four-seat UTV the 2014 Honda Pioneer 700-4. It's certainly not the first four-seat UTV on the market, but it is the first we've seen that quickly converts from four seats to two.

Unlike other four-seat UTVs that feature long wheelbases, the Pioneer 700-4 is sized like a two-seat model. Exactly how close the Pioneer is in size to the two-seat Big Red is still unknown. Full vehicle specs and other information is coming in May.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions yet CVT....lol.....its still a single cylinder with a hydraulic 3 speed....I still have a feeling the v-twins are going to dominate the sxs market.

Suprised to see this, I sent a letter with delivery confirmation to the research & development dept of honda on 01/29/2013 just making my say on a honda customer being left to so little choices on their atvs.

Sad to say their response was a generic customer satisfaction letter.

Ill say this though, even being a single cylinder 700 it may have some pep (look at the artic cat 700) thats no push over. Still ridiculous that we have no chance of a V-Twin for another year. Now the few folks who bought Big Reds are screwed for ANY innovative accessories/mods. Big disappointment in Honda.. Oh did i mention the amount of HEAT that will be felt on the rear passengers legs!

It would be nice if Honda keeps the Big Red in production also, so they have some variety in the sxs market, it would also be nice if they built a sport sxs even John Deere has jumped on the band wagon competing with the Polaris RZR

I heard honda had a no compete contract that was ending this year or next so it may be pretty soon that we start seeing more than the 680 cc coming from Honda if this is true.

i didnt know there was such a thing as a no compete contract? is this just a hoax or is this the real reason why honda has no v twin big bore atvs and sxs? cause this is the first i have heard of it lol
