![]() In addition to ATVs, Honda Canada also had CRF250L dual sport motorcycles to ride. Fortunately, the team at Trail Tours was on hand to offer some two-wheel lessons. More: ATV Trails: Ontario's Ganaraska Forest - Video on ATV.com |

You know someone that knows someone, that knows someone, that knows someone, that knows someone, etc.
Naw but seriously. Go to school to become a journalist, write for a few papers, get your name out there, and apply for the job would be my best guess.

Taz pretty much hit the nail on the head. I studied journalism at university and then spent nine years working for TSN.ca (Website for a Canadian sports network) in various capacities. Now I'm an editor for a variety of powersports websites run by one company.
I don't get to ride as much as I'd like as the vast majority of my working hours are spent editing and publishing content across a half dozen websites, but there are certainly perks to the job. However, I've got several freelancers who had very little (if any) journalism training. They just started writing about something they loved and eventually found people who would pay them for it. For me, I'd rather hire an ATV enthusiast with some writing skills (and willing to work to get better) than a seasoned writer who knows nothing about ATVs. Freelancers, though, have to bust their humps to make a living and many have regular jobs to help pay the bills.
