Default 1998 300 4x4

Clutches were slipping so I changed em but when I put it all back together and the kick starter is making a noise. When it's in gear it goes forward and when it's in reverse it goes backwards. Any body know what could be wrong?

The kick starter got pulled out and not reinstalled correctly. You have to mount the kick start lever to the shaft when installing it. Hook the spring and turn the shaft until the arm on the shaft will sit below the bracket on the case and then slide it into place.

Thank you I'm gonna tear into it today and hopefully it'll work. I have a 11 year old boy who loves to ride either with me or on his so I need to get it going for him soon!!!
