Default 1988 Honda Foreman wheel cylinders

Anyone know of any sources for reasonably priced wheel (brake) cylinders? Mine are beyond repair. Dealer wants $78 a piece! (X4=$320!) Thanks in advance...

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of... Couldn't find anything myself. Saw the disc brake conversion from SuperATV for $230, but it requires 12" wheels. Mine are 11". That will teach me to buy vintage...

i hear ya. lol.

spend the money on wheels now, get the disc conversion and be done with it.

that way you dont have to do it next year after the same parts fail.

Hey, I appreciate the offer. But, I'm completely discouraged now. I thought I was just going to be fixing the front and rear differentials, wheel bearings and brakes, but I've run into a few more problems. Swingarm bearings in the front for one. I also went to fix a minor oil leak coming from the camshaft cap at the top of the engine, turns out four of the bolts are stripped. Looked as though someone else had been in there before fixing a broken cam chain. (Cover was gouged near the sprocket and lots of orange liquid gasket. I think I'm just going to reassemble everything and put an honest ad out for sale. Might be time to consider new now...

Yeah, I'd be willing to fix this machine, but the brake issue alone is an expensive proposition. Couple that with the other necessary repairs and it's more money than I'm willing to put into it. Could be a decent machine with everything fixed correctly. But, I'm already into it for $1200. Can't see putting another $800 into it for something that is 23 years old. Rather put it toward a new machine.

first of all, if $800 is what it's gonna take to get everything right, it may last for another 20yrs. $2K isn't a bad investment. give Sudesh a shout. he's got a bunch of PRISTINE vintage honda's. complete resto's and never used originals...he may be able to source some parts for you. i can't wait until he shows us some more of his collection! he's gotta be the jay leno of honda atv's/atc's!!!
