Maybe not but.....my son's trx 125 carb had the previous owner seat the idle screw so hard that it broke the tip off in the passage and will not come out. We spent hours trying to figure why the rpm at idel was so high and low and behold the idle was fueled through the main jet on teh carb and not through the idle. It found a way to live! The rpm bounces around but usually spikes until really warm and then I have to hit the kill switch for a sec until it backs downa nd a gear change can occur. I have no idea if your machine and the 125 carb are similar but that is my experience.
