1991 Honda TRX200m - Honda Foreman Forums : Rubicon, Rincon, Rancher and Recon Forum

Hey guys. Gotta couple questions here. My buddy is going tomorrow to buy a 91 Honda trx200m, electric start. My main concern is the reliability of a 4 wheeler like that. Any good reviews on the TRX200m? Any common problems if any? Also he and I were wondering how many gears it has, and if its got reverse or not cause the owner is unsure. The guy is selling it to him for $600 and right now the owner said there's trash in the carb so it won't start, but he swears it'll turn over and has compression. Also the brakes are going to need a little work as well. Just looking for some common issues if any on this particular model. Thanks!

Only thing I can recall that bothered me about those machines was it is completely useless in snow and it has the turning radius of a city bus.

They are a pretty simple machine, no really common problems. It has reverse and a 5 speed if I remember right, I don't work on them very much.
